    A rigorous hiring and assessment program for our translators, a scrupulous internal management system, state of the art facilities and a systematic translation business process form the complete quality guarantee system of Yifang Translation.

1. Translator Hiring and Assessment Program
     
Our rigorous translator hiring and appraisal program is the basis for providing quality translation services. We have always emphasized the discovery and cultivation of talents, and have already accumulated a large group of outstanding translators and management elites.
     Most of our fulltime and part-time translators are professors in famous universities like Nanchang University and Jiangxi Normal University, experts from the major science institutions, senior translators from government ministries, or graduate students from the country’s elite universities. All these fulltime and part-time translators undergo an open application process, and all are interviewed, questioned, and examined by our senior translators, by our translation editors and by foreign experts. Only those qualified are accepted.
     Years of translation practice and management experience taught us that the proficiency of a translator not only relies on his or her language skills, but also on his or her know-how. Therefore we formulated a unique set of standards for our appraisal and hiring of translators:
(1) High level of proficiency in at least one foreign language;
(2) A master of Chinese;
(3) Professional background in a certain field; a corresponding professional degree; relevant technical training; and, rich working experience in the field;
(4) Each translator must have at least 3 years of experience as a fulltime or part-time translator.
     Yifang Translation keeps notes and scores on each translation job completed by our translators, making objective comments on the integrity and sense of responsibility of the translator. This is then used as the standard for hiring or continuing to hire an individual. We only enroll those translators with outstanding performance and who have underdone close scrutiny. This is one of the ways we maintain our good reputation in the profession.


2. Robust internal management system
 
    Yifang Translation has a robust internal management system that effectively guarantees a smooth working process—from receiving orders on the telephone to the printing and binding of finished work, each link has a person responsible for it. Translators are immediately able to get the scripts and commence translation. Thanks to modern office equipment, our business operations are not merely recounted in the weekly reports, but mangers are also able to make real-time check-ups on the progress and quality of ongoing projects.
     Our well-educated managers can resolve our clients’ concerns and answer their questions. Our well-designed training program helps find a suitable position for the special abilities of each employee. Our IT staff has rich experience in working out a multitude of computer-related problems.


3. Tech Support
     
Our abundant software resources and software support can meet the needs of all our different clients. High-speed internet connections facilitate the transfer, printing and archiving of files. The internet not only provides vast information sources for translation, but also expedites our communication with remote clients. CD burning technology effectively solves the problem of insufficient disk space, providing an optimum solution to the saving and carrying of large-sized documents. High-resolution scanners create clear images for our clients.

4. Systematic Translation Process
(1)Project Analysis: A senior translator is responsible for the preliminary analysis of the received document to determine the professional field in which it falls and its degree of difficulty;

(2)An appropriate project team composed of professional translators is established and a project manager with rich experience is designated;

(3)Prepare vocabulary: before translation is initiated, the project manager picks out the key words and technical vocabulary from the document and translates them into a consistent vocabulary. The team members all utilize this set of vocabulary.

(4)Translation process: in order to guarantee a high-quality translation, the team members communicate throughout the translation process and the project manager takes responsibility for ensuring the coherency of the entire process;

(5)Polish by translation editors or foreign experts: a senior translator is invited for final quality control of our translation products;

(6)Quality tracing: After the project is finished, a responsible person delivers the finished product to the client on time. Then there is follow-up. If our client proposes further changes or revision, our translation management department will do promptly do a careful revision.
